We've wandered through some crazy Old Towns before, but Dubrovnik takes the cake! This is by far the largest old town we've been in. The city lies in a big bowl, and the narrow alleys reach up higher than you would even imagine possible when looking at the city from the outside. Tourists flock here to the low areas of the city so stick to the high narrow paths until night.
We loved visiting Croatia on our last trip, but didn't get this far south. I am so glad we finally got here! Not only was it not nearly as expensive as we thought, (though, still pricier than other Croatian cities...) but I was not expecting to find a clean, friendly and very active city. Everyone was in their Mediterranean best and dressed to the nines. Made me want to get dolled up... or as dolled up as you can when you are living out of a backpack. lol
