Frankfurt is a big business city and lacks the charm of smaller quainter towns through out Germany. But Frankfurt does a good job of merging its traditional Germanic past with new business, and new cultures. It really reminded me of Toronto, and as such the best way to see it may be with a local.
This trip was great, and in a weird way Frankfurt was a good way to get ready to go home. While I never find it easy leaving Europe, I was a little underwhelmed with this city. It does have charm, but it is hard to see at this point. In a few years, once the old town is rebuilt, it will be a great place to visit. For now, I was happy to be leaving for the airport.
